Skip the title and start on the first line

BijaVault notes have no title field. Whatever you write on the first line becomes the note's title in the list.

A list full of “Untitled”

You jot ideas down in a hurry and always leave the title field empty. Six months later you open the list and see row after row of “Untitled”. You open them one by one to find out which is which.

A title field makes you choose between thinking of a title before you write and skipping it. When you are in a hurry, you skip it.

The first line is the title

BijaVault notes have no field for a title. The words on the first line of the text become the note’s title in the list.

Under each title, the list also shows the beginning of the text from the second line on, so you can tell notes apart without opening them.

In a hurry, write just “Dentist appointment” on the first line and close the note. That is the title. Anything else you remember can go on the lines below.

The file name follows the first line

Each note is a .md file on your iPhone. When you close a note, its file is renamed to match the first line, so you can tell which note is which by name in the Files app too.

What you need
