You wrote it down, but search can’t find it
You want to check the deadline agreed in last month’s meeting. You are sure you wrote it down. Search either shows nothing, or shows dozens of similar meeting notes, and you can’t tell which one you need.
Reviews of note apps keep coming back to this. Search returns zero results even for words you know are in your notes. If you can’t get a note back out, writing it down didn’t help much.
Narrow first, then search
In the BijaVault note list, tap Filter. You see the types and tags used in your notes, each with a count. Pick a type such as “Meeting notes” and a tag such as “Work”, and the list keeps only notes that match both.
Then type a word into “Search text and file names” at the bottom of the list. The search runs only inside the notes you narrowed down to. Even with dozens of similar notes, the one you want is less likely to get buried.
You don’t have to tag notes yourself
Types and tags come from the top of each note. You can write them yourself. If you are signed in, AI reads each note and adds a type, a title, and tags for you. A type, title, or tags you already wrote are left as they are.
So a note you wrote without thinking about categories can still be found with Filter later.
What you need
Search and Filter work on your existing notes at any time, including periods when you can’t write new notes. AI adds a type, a title, and tags only while you are signed in.
