A long note means reading it from the top again
You have added to the same note after every neighborhood meeting for a year. Now it is longer than you can scroll through comfortably. At the next meeting someone asks what last year’s summer festival budget was, and everyone waits while you scroll, scanning for the word “festival”.
Keeping everything in one note is easy. The longer it gets, though, the farther away the one line you need becomes.
Tap the magnifying glass and type
In BijaVault, with the note open, tap the magnifying glass at the top right. A “Find in note” field appears at the bottom of the screen. Type “festival”, and every “festival” in the note is highlighted.
Next to the field you see something like “2/5”: how many matches there are and which one you are on. Tap the up and down arrows to jump to the previous or next match. If there are none, it says “No matches”.
The search bar stays at the bottom even after you close the keyboard, so you can read and use the arrows to move on.
Notes opened from a list search are already highlighted
If you search from the note list first and then open a note, it opens with the same word highlighted and scrolls to the first match. When you can’t remember which note you wrote something in, start from the list.
What you need
Finding words inside a note works at any time, including periods when you can’t write new notes. You don’t need to sign in.
