Split a long recipe note with headings

Turn each dish's name into a heading, and as you scroll you can see at a glance where the next recipe starts.

One long note, no visible breaks

You have been writing down the recipes your mother taught you in a single note. Stews, pickles, and sweets all run on in the same size of text. Standing in the kitchen with your phone in one hand, you scroll for the braised chicken recipe and lose track of where one dish ends and the next begins.

Make each dish name a heading

Open the note in BijaVault, tap where you want the heading, and tap “+” at the top right. Under “Text”, choose “H2”. A heading line is added. Type the dish’s name, and it shows in large letters.

With every dish name as a heading, you can tell while scrolling that a new recipe starts at each large line.

“Divider” under the same “Text” tab draws a horizontal line between dishes.

No symbols to remember

Headings and dividers are saved as Markdown symbols (“## “ and “—”). You only pick them from “+”, so there is nothing to memorize. Because the note is a plain text file, other apps that read Markdown show the same headings.

What you need

Adding headings and dividers requires a period in which you can write: while you have a subscription, or during the three days unlocked by watching an ad.
