Moving everything feels like too much work
Apple Notes on your iPhone has years of notes in it. Shopping lists, packing lists, steps for work. You think about switching apps, then think about moving all of it, and put it off.
One review we read described trying to import thousands of notes into another app, only for the app to crash partway through.
Send them one at a time
With BijaVault you move notes one by one, starting with the ones you still look at. Here is how.
- In Apple Notes, open the note you want to move.
- Tap the Share button.
- Make sure “Send Copy” is shown at the top, then choose BijaVault.
- On the “Save to BijaVault” screen, tap Save.
The note appears in your list the next time you open BijaVault. What you send is a copy, so the original stays in Apple Notes. Check it in BijaVault first, then decide whether to delete it from Apple Notes.
The same steps are listed under “Move from Apple Notes” in BijaVault’s Settings.
Moved notes can be filtered too
If you are signed in, AI adds a type, a title, and tags to the notes you move. Notes you never sorted into folders in Apple Notes can now be found by type or tag with Filter.
What it doesn’t do
There is no way to move many notes at once. You move the one note you have open.
Only the text comes across. Images in the note are left behind, and formatting such as bold and headings is removed.
What you need
Moving notes requires either a subscription or three days of access unlocked by watching an ad, the same as writing a new note. AI adds a type, a title, and tags only while you are signed in.
